  • Scared of the scales

Hi all im new so I hope this is in the right place. I am on day 7 of induction and was hoping to weigh myself today (have resisted all week) but thismorning i made the excuse that I was running late for work and now im home and dont have an excuse im terrified! I think im so used to seeing no movement or even go up as with previous diets even when ive really pushed myself that my confidence is really low. (hope you understand).I guess im asking for a gentle push or a swift kick up the behind lol.x

i know exactly how you feel. but to be honest, since I did bite the bullet, and have seen a nice reduction in weight, i love getting on the scale nowadays! Are your clothes fitting better?

        Re: Scared of the scales

No need to get on the scales yet - it is important however to weigh after you have been on induction for 14 days to see what sort of metabolic resistance to weightloss your loss confirms according to the chart in DANDR.

After that you dont have to get on the scales at all if you would rather not
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

          Re: Scared of the scales

You don't have to get on the scales if you aren't ready. Remember, the scales are only one tool for monitoring progress. The scale is not your only tool, and it is never a punishment! Don't let the scale intimidate you.

          Take care!

I wish I had that kind of fortitude to NOT get on the scale. I feel like every time I go to the restroom I hop on the scale inspite of the fact I know how ridiculous that is. Congrats on the weight loss, keep it going!!!
