  • Just Started Induction last Saturday...

and I am already amazed at the changes I am feeling in my body. I feel that I have more energy, I find that I fall asleep quickly (I used to lay in bed and stare at the ceiling for at least a half hour to 45 minutes MINIMUM), I'm not ever getting sleepy during the day. It is just amazing. Part of me wants to attribute it to my excitement about getting my life back on track but I know that is only a small portion of it.

The one thing I've noticed, and it might be caffeine withdrawl, is that I've had a mild, yet constant headache since I gave up drinking Pepsi a week ago. Anyone else experience this?

I look forward to being able to share my future success with you all and hearing of yours as well!

Hi Ryan, its a great feeling isnt it! I think it was about day 3 and I woke up feeling better than I had in years. I wanted to hug the world lol. It was just an overwhelming feeling that life is good. I think the headaches could be due to sugar withdrawls but im sure someone with more experience will be able to give you a better idea than me. Take care.x

It sounds as if you are off to good start, Ryan

Many people do get a headache after giving up caffeine, so that is probably it.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Caffeine withdrawal is notorious for headaches. Be thankful that it's mild, but constant. When I quit many moons ago (and I do mean many...I had to stop taking when I was put on Seldane for allergies, and Seldane has been yanked from production for many years now!), I had constant, wicked headaches.

Drink plenty of water, and the headaches should pass within a week from the date that you quit caffeine. If they continue beyond that, it could be an allergy issue, or some other health issue, so a visit to your medical provider might be a good idea, at that point.
