  • Question Guys!

Ok...so supposedly we aren't allowed more than 20gs of carbs per day.

But...on the atkins.com web site, there is a 2005 2 week Induction meal plan that shows a daily intake of 18-22 gs of carbs per day.

We follow the diet stated in Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition (DANDR 2002). Since Dr. Atkin's death in 2003, the company has been fiddling with the diet to make it more "mainstream". In many cases, these changes are an absolute contradiction to what Dr. Atkins wrote. Plus we don't have any evidence from the company that they try their revisions on real people to see if the revisions truly work.

So, the company changes the rules: it's okay to eat grains during Induction...as long as they have the Atkins logo on it; it's okay to eat legumes during Induction....as long as they have the Atkins logo on it; etc.

DANDR 2002 works---I and many others are proof of that. On the other hand, we get the ADBB member who has followed the revisions and come here because they haven't lost any weight.
