  • where do you get your daily fat intake from?

    Well I do great with eating meat, but i was just wondering where everyone consumes their fat from. sounds like a silly question.. but just curious.

    Most of my fat comes from olive oil, eggs and butter. Some days I also have avocado or cream cheese.

          ok.. Thank you guys! it seems silly, but now that ive got the low carb thing down, lol, i started questioning my fat intake. I want to get enough, but not TOO Much. I'm not big on measuring things out, (that's on my list of "to do's).

            Since you are on induction, about 65% of your calories should come from fat. I find it very difficult to get enough fat from meat alone without overdoing protein.

                Are you using the website Fitday? It's free and it is a wonderful way to keep track of all that stuff and a lot more. It's been a God-send for me If you haven't checked it out you should.

                  You know when i first stumbled upon this site, i went to fitday but didnt have a whole lot of time to mess with it much.. I think I will look into more over the weekend. Thanks!

                    I get my fat intake from Olive oil, eggs and then meat.

                    Heaviest weight last year- 400 lbs. (2007)
                    April 1, 2008 - 387 lbs. (This is when I initially started to lose weight…but was not on Atkins at this point)
                    Atkins start weight – 347 lbs. (July 19, 2008 – began Atkins)
                    1st major goal met -----
                    100 lbs. lost as of Oct 2, 2008 - Hit 300 lbs. on this day – From April 1-08 when I initially begin to lose weight.

                    2nd major goal met - 151 lbs. lost as of Jan 13, 2009 - Hit 249 lbs. on this day.
                    Current weight – 228 lbs.
                    Goal weight - 150 – 160

                      mayo. i would not be able to do this diet without mayo. i put it on just about everything, haha. also heavy cream, i beat it with splenda and freeze it and it's like ice cream!
