I thought I was being a sugar sleuth, BUT

I am starting my second week of induction. Have been in Ketosis all along - including this morning when I woke up. I had bacon and eggs for breakfast. I just bought this bacon from Whole Foods yesterday - but I think it is not on plan because I'm out of Ketosis now. Here's what the label says: Fat 8g, Carbs 0, Sugar 0. The ingredients list shows: pork, sea salt, raw sugar+, and spices. The notation for +Sugar says: "provides an insignificant amount of sugar per slice.

Have I been duped by the Sugar Demon?

How did you conclude you are out of ketosis? The color of the ketostix is not a reliable indicator of whether you are in ketosis or not. Here is something for you to read:

That being said, it would still be better to look for a brand of bacon that has no sugar added.

Here is a thread that mentions a few SF brands:

Thanks, Georgiana! That article was very helpful. I'll switch bacon brands and stop being addicted to "the sticks!"
