  • I thought I was being a sugar sleuth, BUT

    I am starting my second week of induction. Have been in Ketosis all along - including this morning when I woke up. I had bacon and eggs for breakfast. I just bought this bacon from Whole Foods yesterday - but I think it is not on plan because I'm out of Ketosis now. Here's what the label says: Fat 8g, Carbs 0, Sugar 0. The ingredients list shows: pork, sea salt, raw sugar+, and spices. The notation for +Sugar says: "provides an insignificant amount of sugar per slice.

    Have I been duped by the Sugar Demon?

    How did you conclude you are out of ketosis? The color of the ketostix is not a reliable indicator of whether you are in ketosis or not. Here is something for you to read:
    Still trying to get the latest one (the one that just completed yesterday) added into the article... The year 2005 has seen already two highly successful ADBB Boot.


    That being said, it would still be better to look for a brand of bacon that has no sugar added.
