    sorry if this has already been stated, i cant seem to find it searching through the posts. ive determined that myself and my hubby want to start atkins, and since i am menu planning for induction phase, i have a question. is it safe to go under the recommended net carbs for the day? i heard you should be consuming at the most 20, but most of the meals i seem to plan are around 5g daily. for example, i have this:

    Day 1: net carbs/s

    Breakfast
    Meat Lovers Scrambled Eggs (pg 19) 2g
    Hot tea or ice tea, black coffee, water 0g
    Lunch
    Basil & Garlic stuffed Chicken breasts (pg229) 1g
    Sparkling water, ice tea, ice coffee, water 0g
    Dinner
    Spinach stuffed flank steaks 0g
    Lemon Broccoli (pg3620) 2g
    Ice tea, water 0g
    Snack
    1 ounce cheddar cheese 0g

    daily total- 5g

    im getting most of my recepies from the better homes and gardens recipie book. it looked like it had tons of helpful info, but i couldnt find anything bout this.

    but yeah, is this too restrictive??

    start weight- 265
    goal one- 240-- DONE
    goal two- 220
    goal three-200
    goal four-180
    final goal- 150-170, obiviously closer to the 150 the better

    You should be eating three cups of vegetables -- maximum one cup from the "Other Vegetables" list, and the rest from the "Salad Vegetables" list. The lists are here:

    I believe there is less than three cups in the menu you posted.

    Don't worry if you do not reach 20 net carbs. Just remember that most of your carbohydrates (over half) should come from veggies. As long as this happens and you are eating three cups of them, you are doing fine.

      ahhh thank you so much!! i forgot to copy-paste from word my other snack... green pepper strips yummmmm lol. but im glad to hear that im not too restrictive!
