    Hi Everyone!

    Okay so a lil' bkgd on me! I did Atkins when I was in my last year of high school...so about 6 years ago after I had gained at least fifty pounds in a short amount of time. I lost all of that weight within a very short period of time.

    6 years later after university I gained it all back!!! I am back to a great WOE but I need Atkins to give a boost to start a lifelong WOL. I definitely need the support. I am starting to sound like a broken record in my life and thought that if I come online I can be accountable and I need tons of help with my induction menu.

    I am going on vacation May 25 and would love to be a smaller but realistic size. Even a pound less than I am would be awesome! I am aiming for about 25 pounds though! We'll see!

    I plan on exercising vigorously which is what I did like a fiend in high school when I was on Atkins!

    Any helpful induction tips would be very welcome since I am rusty! I have the 2002 version of the book which is great but ain't nothing like hearing from all of you guys who are doing it now!

        Welcome Katie -- glad you found your way back to this fantastic WOE. You know it works, you've done it before so you should have no problem this time.

        There is a section for people who have done Atkins before that might interest you -- Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet and a great area with exercise and food challenges -- Challenges - Atkins Diet.

        Something else that might be helpful is Linda's recipe site - lots of us swear by her recipes, there is a section for induction as well as OWL so make sure you're in the right area - Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Daily Menus. Or Shiela's recipes Sheila's Low Carb, Atkins & Induction Friendly *ORIGINAL* Recipes Page! and the Yahoo site also has recipes (the stuffed green peppers are delicious and I didn't really ever like them before) OurAtkinsRecipes : Messages : 150-183 of 183.

              The best tip is to do it by the book.... and take advantage of all the wonderful recipes others have mentioned.

                    Hmmm..don't know why I didn't get an email notify me that I got replies to the thread. How wonderful to come on here and see the support! THANK YOU ALL! So tonight is my first Atkins dinner! I had to wait until I got groceries! Now I have them! So I am having a ceasar! I will be relying A LOT on the boards! Thanks for reminding me about the second time around board! I will be back on that! I will journal every day or try for almost every day!!!

                    Sherri - hello girl!!!!!! I missed you and you look FANTASTIC! What an inspiration!

                      Check your settings in User CP > Edit Options. If those are set to "Instant Email Notification", then check your spam folder.
