    Yep! reading food labels is very important! I am learning a lot this week!

    From what I understand, they put it in there to keep the cheese from clumping and sticking together in the bag. I used it in the beginning and it didn't hurt my losses then but there's no way I'd use it now! Not a real big cheese eater anyway. Grating your own cheese is the way to go!

      And freshly grated cheese tastes so much nicer too!
      I will never go back to using that pregrated parmesan cheese after buying block parmesan and grating it as needed.

        I always thought cream cheese was cream cheese and that the carb counts were the same. But the first I bought while on Atkins had extra ingredients that doubled the carb count.

        Religiously reading labels pays off!
