  • Met Rx bars

I have a small supply of these bars that I had for when I needed to take something with me and I didn't have anything prepared. Here is the nutrional info - can someone please tell me if this is acceptable on induction occaisionally/

    cal 310
    fat 9
    carb 32
    sugar alcohol 28
    fiber 2

    net carbs 2 g

    Thanks!
I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

The bars contain milk and soy, both of which are not allowed during Induction. So the bars are not allowed either.

Your weight loss at the end of the two-week Induction is important in order to determine your degree of metabolic resistance (see page 158 in the book or this link), so you don't want to skew the results.

What are the ingredients? If the ingredients are on the acceptable foods list, then the food might be legal---depending on the amounts.

Also, 310 calories for one bar has the about the same calories as 4 extra large eggs or a serving of dressing and a cup of celery sticks!
