  • Any safe mints?

I seen Altoids had a new thing out Sugar free smalls made with sucralose I believe. It had 0 carbs if my memory serves me right. Is something like that ok for induction or is that considered "not clean." Thanks!

A large reason for avoiding sweets during induction is to kill your sweet tooth. I found I really did seem to lose mine by not using our 'allowed' 3 servings of sweetener then.
But as long as you count one sweet as one serving (so no more than three a day) you would be sticking to the rules.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

I bought myself a travel size mouthwash and I keep that at work, bringing it home to refill it when needed.

Also, I use the Listerine breath strips occasionally because they're so powerful they don't remind me of candy in any way shape or form! :yikes

          In UK we have "Smints".

They are sugar free mints not much bigger than a grain of rice, but my, do they pack a punch!

The volume of the mint is so small the carb content has to be tiny.

Do you have anything like them on the US market?
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
          he said, 'Don't count calories.'

This way of eating has turned me into a consistent flosser!!
I have floss and mouthwash at work and the only reason I don't have a toothbrush there is that there's not enough room for that and toothpaste! (ok, that's not really true, but I ride a scooter, so at work I already have hairbrush, hairspray, a makeup bag with lipsticks, mouthwash, assorted earrings and hair clips. I'm going to have to build my own bathroom soon..lol)

But seriously, flossing is GREAT if you're concerned about your breath..the combo of mint floss and strong mouthwash makes me feel much fresher after my breaks.

I agree with the flossing thing too. I keep a toothbrush at work. I don't know if I'm just used to it, but the ketosis breath was much much worse for me during the first two months. (I did an extended induction)

I've using "Slim Mints" that I buy at either Walmart or Walgreens. Made with Splenda. 1 net carb in 6 mints.
