  • Help!? Induction flu or what's going on??

    Hey Guys!

Sooo...bkgd. I went on Atkins officially Sunday/Monday and I dropped three pounds yesterday morning! A little whooshie. I thought that was early for a weight loss. I had inductino breath but that was it. No other symptoms of feeling like I was in ketosis.

I don't know what is going on today though. I peed on the ketosis stick and it said it was still pink which is great! I spent all morning working running around on my feet and now I am back at the office and I am so tired....I am dreaming about my bed! DREAMING. My head is totaly discombobulated. TOTALLY. I can't concentrate or string a thought together...I am THAT exhausted. Just fatigued.

Is this induction flu? Can I hope that I am getting that much into the low carb woe or is this just a fluke! I am hoping for the first option but need some input!!!

    Love ya all! XOX

Sounds like induction flu to me. Until your body makes the proper enzymes needed to digest and use fat and protein for energy and gets rid of those extra enzymes no longer needed to metabolize the carbs, you will feel this way. It takes two entirely different types of enzymes to metabolize carbs and fat and protein.

Be sure you are eating enough protein and plenty of fat to make into energy.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

If you are getting in your 20 grams of carbs I would think you are experiencing induction flu. Remember if you were eating lots of processed foods and carbs and sugar you will go through withdrawals and some of those symptoms will be headaches and fatigue. Trust me though once you get over the induction flu you will feel great and have lots of energy!

Until your body produces the proper enzymes, you should be eating butter and coconut oil for almost instant energy. Those two contain short-and-medium-chain fatty acids that do not need to be emulsified by bile salts, but is absorbed directly from the small intestine to the liver for quick energy. Butter is better, but coconut oil is good, too.
