    I'm a student away from the U.S. right now so it's a little harder for me to be creative with this diet. I need to actually take the time to do proper groceries and cook so I can make sure I don't get sick of the diet.     Also, I was wondering if having too little fat will really harm us? I know we're suppose to have more fat than protein in our meals throughout the day but other than adding olive oil, mayo, and cheese, I can't find anything else to add to the fat content of my meals. Eating those 3 things again and again and again is getting redundant. In addition, my hunger cravings have really decreased and I'm literally having to force myself to eat. I never thought the day would come, lol. That's all great, but it's not cool when I actually haven't had my 3rd meal of the day and I'm afraid of not getting in enough calories or fat. I wouldn't want my lack of hunger to work against me...anyone going through the same thing? Any tips?
    Give us a sample menu? also you could precook some stuff and freeze it. I bought some Thai paste to change things up a bit. So I have been making Thai chicken beef and even fish with Cauliflower rice...yummy there is a lot out there...check out this site:

      Thanks for your replies. I started regular dieting about 2 months ago my goal was 40 lbs to lose. up to atkins I lost 15 and now 3 on the first week of induction. so I am 22 pounds away from goal. I have uped my fat intake for this week hoping that will help. I did Atkins one other time many moons ago dropped 35 real quick. Just seems slow this time.

        On induction you'll typically use up to 10% of the total amount of weight you have to lose. You've loast more than 10% in your first week. That's not slow.

          Are you all super thirsty? I'm drinking water but it never seems to be enough and my throat is sooo dry. Can anyone relate?

            hi, guys

            wanted to jump on this march 23 bandwagon. i started officially on the 22nd and i'm doing the "weigh? no way!" challenge so i'm not getting on the scale again until sunday morning, maybe monday if can hold out!

            i started a few days before that but intentionally "binged" on a piece of birthday cake at a friend's celebration, so i guess i wasn't all that serious yet. i've started reading the book, about halfway through now, and now i'm serious!

            even with my cheating moment, the last time i checked i was down nine pounds so i'm hoping this second week of induction adds a little something to the weight loss tally. i definitely can see a difference in my face-not so puffy, and my pants are getting loose. miracle!

            would love it if we could stay in touch and try to motivate each other. i've gotta get better about the exercise. i've got the food thing down and i'm almost there with the water. just have to get my butt moving now!

              Hi, attagrl! 9lbs down is great! It's the same as I lost during week one. I also need to get better about the exercise. I'm drinking lots of water, my food is good, now I need some exercise. Keep us posted on your progress!

                stefanie, we have about the same stats--except that you're a sweet YOUNG thing! maybe we can use each other as motivation? i'm really determined to succeed at this. i've never been on a diet before. i was never a skinny-minnie but i kept my weight much more manageable with tons of exercise (used to work out five days a week, hard!). i need to get back to that.

                how's your induction going so far? tried this before?

                  Ive dropped two dress sizes and treated myself to a new pair of black linen trousers today.

                  Cant wait to hear from everyone.

                    Wow two dress sizes! Woohoo! I'm doing well I lost 10lbs and I dropped down one size so I'm feeling pretty good. Last day of Induction tomorrow for all of us? Anyone doing extended induction? I think I may move on...not sure yet because my hubby is staying with induction for a while.

                      wow, two dress sizes--impressive! i've not weighed in yet for the second week, maybe tomorrow if i feel like it. i'm pretty sure i'm going to stay on extended induction for a while since it's so easy and i've got tons more to lose. anybody staying on, or is everyone moving on?
