headaches anyone?

    headaches anyone?

    Maybe i really am going through withdrawl?

    Day 3 of induction and i have a constant mild headache...like a hangover headache.

    Is this normal? Does it happen to anyone else?

    Yup, you probably got the "Induction flu". It will go away in a few days.

      It is basically a reaction to detoxing the sugar/carbs out of your symptom. You will feel great in a day or two if you stick it out! Take some ibuprofen or an appropriate -for -you pain reliever.

        Yup its normal, I had them bad the first 4 days then they kind of went away for a few days and today I have a had a mild one again. I am on 10th day of induction. I think for me it will take some time to completely get use to eating less carbs, its practically all I ate. Cereal, bread, refried beans, tortillas, pasta oh goodness pasta all the time! Oh and twinkies or ding dongs after 10pm!! No wonder I have headaches! Its like an alcoholic when he goes cold turkey! Trust me I know my hubby was an alcoholic (sober 6 years now! Hooray!) I am sure the headaches will go away eventually. For now, Advil and Excedrin are your friends.

          In agreement with everyone else... yes, completely normal. The first few days are awful... however, keep plugging along! I promise you it gets better.

          Also, one thing that really helped me was to remember to drink lots and lots of water. Sometimes I rubbed my temples and found the time to take nice warm baths. That sounds a little silly perhaps, but those three things really helped.

          Good luck to you... the headache(s) will go away...

                Wow, Frannyglass, you sounded exactly like I feel today. It's my third day of induction and I have the exact same type of headache that you described on your 3/23 post. You replies answered my question. Hope those headaches are gone now!

                  Yes, definitely all gone (along with 6 lbs as of last sunday!)

                  drink lots of water and take some advil if you need it!
