  • Not hungry!

This is what I love about Atkins...the lack of constant hunger. I'm not yet at the point where I have to set the timer to remind myself to eat (oh believe me, I was once there, when I did Atkins the first time) but I love how I am not thinking about when I get to eat again next. I joined weight watchers back in January and was constantly starving...I'm so glad I quit and started Atkins again

          Re: Not hungry!

Congrats to you Laurie and to you ipedragon. I remember when I was a newbie here, someone angrily wrote a thread saying he/she was quitting Atkins. Weight was lost, but the main grievance was the loss of appetite. I remember that poster saying "Any diet where you don't feel hungry has to be bad." I always wondered how that person did......

            Re: Not hungry!

Ipedregon...that's a lot of eggs! I was eating about 3 for breakfast the first 3 days, with mayonaise and green onions. Mmmmm egg salad but without the bread!

I believe its the lack of sugar in my body that makes the hunger pangs stay away. I know that when I would eat sugar, or actually, pasta too, no matter how full I was, I was still hungry for more.

Not2late - that's a crazy reason for quitting! I still get hungry for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I am not hungry all.day.long like I used to be. That's what I am celebrating!
