  • Monthly Cycle (A girly one)

    Hi,

I have been a silent member for the past few weeks, reading the messages and learning lots.

This is my 15th day and I have lost 11lbs
    I am very happy.

Anyway what I wanted to ask,
My monthly period is normally regular.
I was due to start my cycle 4days ago.

Does sudden change of diet interupt my monthly cycle.

Just so you know I am not pregnant, or no way I can be, I've had no action for at least 6months lol.

but I am curious why it has not appeard.

    Any explainations?

Yes, weight loss can affect your menstruation, because as you lose weight, the level of estrogen also declines.

Are you taking any nutritional supplements?

It does not "interrupt" your cycle. But it is not unusual to skip a month or be late a few days. Once you adjust to the new weight, things should come back to normal. 11 lbs in 2 weeks is quite a lot. How much do you have to lose?
