    Hello all.
    :help I am new here and I have a few questions. First of all, I have read the book and feel as though I have a fairly good understanding. I am weaning myself off of caffine and sweets. I feel I should be mentally prepared to start Atkins in a day or 2. :icondance
    I have a queston that I know is not going to have "1" answer. I know we are all different ...here I go. How much weight do you think I can drop before June 6th? I have heard of 14lbs during induction alone. We are going on vacation and I really need to drop some weight quickly. I have started going to Curves and go 3-4 times a week,so I do exercise. If i follow induction faithfully, what should I expect?
    Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me. I am serious about doing this,I am ready to be healthy, happy and look good.

    Hi! Welcome to ADBB! It's hard to say how much you will lose, but it can be up to 10% of the total you need to lose, or more or less depending on your metabolism. The important thing is that you will give this 2 weeks of faithful nurturing and feel better than you have in a long time! I think you'll do very well! :joy

      I'd like to welcome you aboard too! I don't have more to add to Cleo's comment in terms of what to expect to lose. One thing I really encourage you to do is measure yourself. With the exercise program you already have in place, and following the rules of induction, you're gonna do great.

          WELCOME TO ABDD!!! WE'RE GLAD TO HAVE YOU. I KNOW THAT SINCE I STARTED CONTROLLING MY CARB INTAKE (JAN 14 2005), I'VE LOST 17LBS OR MORE EVERY MONTH. BUT I GUESS IT JUST DEPENDS ON THE PERSON. :yes
