  • Where the heck is the weight ?

I'm on day 12 and I started at 306 lbs

I've lost about 2 lbs so far

My waist has deflated a bit, even my wedding ring is looser, my shirts feel looser, but no weight to show ?

I can visibly see a diffrence and feel a diffrence but what's up with the scale ?

Where is my body hiding it ? Has anyone else had this type of thing ?

I wonder if my metabolism is just so bad I need more time to kick in.

Dr. Atkins wrote that the loss of inches was a more accurate measurement of weight loss because it showed that fat was emptying from our cells. He advised us to take and follow our measurements as well as our scale weights.

The problem with the scale is that it doesn't tell you what kind of weight you have lost or gained. For example, if you lose 1 pound of water, the scale will show 1 pound lost. It won't tell you that you lost water or fat or muscle. Also if you retain a pound of water but lose a pound of fat, the scale will say you haven't lost weight.

So if your clothes and wedding ring are looser, you're losing.
