Hello Everyone ,

I have done atkins before but just cant get my motavation up ...... Im gonna shoot to try to start tomm but I am on some medications and was wondering if anyone knew if they were ok , Zoloft , Zanax and Biotin ??? Any help would be great !

Zoloft is a SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor), so it can interfere with weight loss. Xanax (I guess that's what you mean) has both weight loss and weight gain as secondary effects. Biotin does not affect weight loss.

As Dr. Atkins advised in DANDR 2002, you should consult your doctor before starting Atkins. Your doctor can give you more information on the possible side effects of your medication and, if necessary, adjust the dosage or put you on different drugs.

I can't advice on induction but Im with you on lack of motivation. I have done atkins before also with great results but after having my beloved baby, and a stay at home mom, I have no motivation, i look at myself everyday in mirror and just hate what i see, not just because of the ugliness the fat contributes but also I hate to see that I am not able to do anything about it even when I have all the information I need to start atkins.

I am also going to start tomorow and I will keep coming back to the forum to see if it will help me stay motivated. The forum has helped me when I first did Atkins and I hope I will use the help again.

I guess we just have to do it and stay firm
