  • Working Midnights, need some ideas...

I am working at night for the next 2 weeks and need some ideas of what to eat late night.....I get off around 0730, stop by the store and buy an egg and bacon, walk 1 mile(for now), then go to sleep. ....I get up about 5:00 and cook so that is only 2 meals......I can't tolerate alot of food after Midnight, and surely can't tolerate tuna or a salad after mn (otherwise I love it). I just need something light and not so filling.Any sugg ensive estions?

I currently work the graveyard shift, which means I'm at work from 10:30pm until 7am. I have dinner before I head to work, lunch around the middle of my shift, and a "breakfast" when I get home.

The lunch I packed for work today includes:
Leftover low-carb meatloaf my DH made for dinner.
A couple of individually wrapped string cheese.
A tub with radishes, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Usually I'd have a bit of dip with it, but today I didn't feel like it.

Breakfast this morning may be the low-carb egg & cream cheese "danish" that seems so popular around these here parts, if not scrambled eggs.

I enjoy bringing a small tub of raw mixed veggies (radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli) with dip...mainly because I like to graze. Another favourite is deli meat (real deli meat, not the prepackaged stuff) rolled up and wrapped in swiss cheese. I'll bring about 3 of these wraps with me to work. It's like having cheap h'ors d'oeuvres for dinner!

I like thin-sliced roast beef rolled up in colby jack cheese, shredded lettuce inside, and I like to munch on a couple of cherry tomatoes with it. It is light, satisfying and tasty!

BTW, congratulations to you for already exercising and working towards success on this WOE!!!
