OMG I am having a complete moment of weakness. I feel like eating anything and everything right now. What I wouldnt do for some fettucini alfredo, pizza, burgers WITH the bun and some good decent rich fattening desert...this is my first time during my induction that i have felt this way...why???? am i out of ketosis is that why the cravings have come back with a vengence? wish me luck guys. I am going to try my best to hold my cravings at bay but right about now on a scale of 1 to 10 I am at a 1 for will power

Have any of you had a cheat during induction and still continued to lose weight? or did it mess you up for good?

Eat something fatty. don't worry about the calories. But the fats will satiate you. Try not to eat a sweet fatty thing, as it will still feed your sweet tooth that you want to get rid of. Have some whipped cream or a couple tablespoons of cream cheese or a deviled egg. These are quick fives that tend to ease the cravings. Hang in there.

I agree. Eat something fatty. It should help.
If you do cave in, it will mess induction up completely!
If I cheat, it takes me three weeks to lose the gained weight and start losing again... it's not worth it!
What do you want more? The food or the weight loss?

well Im glad to say that I didnt break! yippee..it was tough but i decided to eat some SF jello instead and that worked. I felt much better after and stopped obsessing over food. A little after the jello I had a veggie omlette..I survived another day, thank god! Day 11 of induction tomorrow! thanks for the suggestions guys...

          YAY!! Well done!!
I find decaf coffee with 1t splenda and double cream usually knocks out any cravings too (or sf jelly)

When you're craving something sweet, eat a dill pickle. For some reason the brain can't tell the difference between sweet and sour and this fix actually works!! I doubted it in the beginning and then I tried it! Make sure you read the ingredients list on the pickle jar though! Some have added sugar!

That is really interesting as I have found myself craving dill pickles in the past (no, I'm not pregnant again) maybe my body has realised it gets a similar hit from it?!

im happy you didnt give in to your cravings! You cant have sf jello either but that is the lesser of all the evils you were wanting.

I find eating a little something and going for a walk reminds me of how good i'm feeling and then the cravings pass

                good job!

                  Re: moment of weakness

i had the same problem and I still do but chicken broth (no sugar added) and some good multivitamins should do the trick. also water helps.

I hope this helps, but you are not alone in this. I have done induction before and its even harder second time around but the fact that it gets better after the first month is a good news and that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

the SF jello that I have is sweetened with sucralose not aspartame so I think it would be ok to eat, no? Im feeling week today too as the days go by im feeling weaker and weaker, this was easy in the beginning. I hope I can stick with it and really make a lifestyle change1

If it does not stall you, then it's okay to have it. Make sure you count it towards your sweetener allotment though -- you're allowed maximum three servings per day.

Are you taking a multivitamin? A B complex or B12 tablets will also help with fatigue.

The type I get is Hunt's juicy gels and it may only be available in canada. I found it in Walmart, so check your local Walmart they might have it.

All the ones I know have to be taken daily. This should be written on the label though. On mine it says:
SUGGESTED USE: For best results, take one tablet daily with a meal.
