  • Hey Fellow Atkinites!

Just have a quick question I am hoping to get some responses to. Last week was my first week of Induction, and though I found that I have incorporated some not so good things into my first week, I still happened to drop 3 pounds. This week, I am trying to move into another 2 weeks, but this time, ensuring that I am doing a clean induction.

Can anyone supply me with some ideas of "snacks" to have between meals? I can't seem to think of anything and there really isn't much help in the book when it comes to this. I've read through some other threads and some of you guys have mentioned celery sticks with cream cheese and of course pork rinds. Other than that, i'm fairly clueless. OH! There is also the great meat and cheese wraps which I love, and pickles... Wait a minute.. I'm naming a few now! Any additional though is still greatly appreciated.

Lastly, I read in another thread about "No-Bake Cheesecake" being ok. Does anybody know about this?

There is a food section and it lists lots of snacks that you can try, and Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Home has some great ideas also. Just make sure you stay under the limit for sweets and if you're like me and can't tolerate sweets, back off quick.
Some times you have to prepare for those emergency's so, hard boil some eggs, make some hot wings, meat balls, etc to have when the munchy's happen
    Congrats on the 3 pounds.

Desertthorn! Thanks for the link! That should definitely help. I'm not really looking for "sweets" so to speak, just some things I can snack on between my breakfast and lunch, and lunch/dinner. This should definitely kick some ideas my way. I had thought about another question earlier, however, I can't seem to remember it. I'm a BIG steak eater.. Porterhouse and T-Bone's mainly. This shouldn't cause any problems during the induction stage right? Especially if I stay away from the steak sauce.

Also, anything on that No-Bake cheesecake? Going to head to the supermarket during my lunch break and was kind of curious about it... if I should get it or not... Or can I even have it during Induction for that matter.

I would stay away from the No Bake Cheesecake for now. Especially the store-bought kind, check the labels and ingredients. Linda has some recipes that you could make, and if you like pumpkin, there are some great pie and pudding recipes there.
        Steak is fine, enjoy
