  • Starting.....again

Hi, my name is Jamie. I started this diet in June of 2004...fell of the wagon 27 days after starting and losing 27 pounds. It was hard my bf at time was not supportive....I think he saw the weight I was losing and got nervous. Anyways that bf is gone and I live by myself....so I thought its time to get back on this train and try again. Everyone here was so supportive on my last visit. I look forward to the welcome from my ha buddies!!!

    Welcom Jaime,

I know you can do it. Congrad on you weight loss the first time around. If you could do it then, forsure with out a dought you can do it this time. Especially if you got rid of the bf who was not helping you out. I think it would be alot easier for me if i didnt have to worry about DH or the kids. But i do, and i know that its my own motivation and the board who will help me out in the long run. Just wanted to welcome you back. If you need anything....not hesitate to PM me.

        Hi Jamie :wave

        Welcome aboard!

I'm happy to know that you have made the decision to lose the weight and improve your life and you've taken a very important step by simply posting your note!

Just looking around the Board I'm sure you've seen some stunning, jaw dropping examples of how effective Atkins can be. So many people here have lost 25...50..100..200 pounds and absolutely reinvented themselves - all you need is commitment, determination and you'll succeed.

Make sure you have the most recent copy of "Dr Atkins New Diet revolution" known around here as DANDR - it's critical that you have the book, read it, consider it your best friend, companion and bible and always remember without the book - failure is inevitable.

So this time around avoid any pitfalls from the get go and ensure your success
        • *Read the book and use it as your guide and reference
*Print out the list of acceptable foods on Induction, hit the market and stock up on all the wonderful foods that are available to you during this phase of Induction.
*Anyone who cares about you should support you, you may have to put certain misconceptions about Atkins to rest and tear down a few lies. But never feel you have to apologize for yourself.
Unfortunately, just as Dr. Atkins said there will be people who don't want you to succeed - they're more comfortable with you being fat and unhealthy. If you have people like this in your life - it's time to say good-bye.
As for support it's invaluable and of paramount importance. You'll find warm, non judgmental support here, 24/7 365 days a year by people who believe in Atkins, themselves and - you.

        Welcome!

        Peter ha
