  • my feelings on the 4th day of induction

so today is the end of my 4th day induction and the cravings have started to disapear (most of the day). The only hard time is when I am feeding my son and cooking for my hubi, the smells and the reminder of how good it tastes (from memory hehehe) is so tempting, but i am controling my mind so far and its working. headaches are gone, lack of energy to exercise is still there, but i do move alot because I have a toddler who keeps me on my toes (but again its not as much as i would like)

hopefully next week i will have enough energy to do some cardio to speed up the weight loss and I will weigh in at the end of this week (hoping to see good results)

Good that the cravings and headaches are mostly gone. Besides weighing, you might want to take body measurements too. Sometimes the scale is stubborn while the inches are still coming off.

you are right and I will do that also.

Its 5th day induction for me, but Why don't I have the energy boost like we are suppose to have during ketosis? Should I change my supplement? right now i take one a day women's mutivitamin. Can you advice me on something else that might help?

you are definitely on the right path and i dont take oneaday ... i just take 1 centrum after breakfast and just remember to keep drinking water and you will get through the day and your energy levels will definitely go back up sooner rather then later and if you can't do cardio just do free weights. I have some sites that will give you a complete workout routine + videos on how to do it

Re: my feelings on the 4th day of induction

try this link to start off:

3 Day Workout For Beginners - Muscle & Strength

after about three-five weeks of this routine then you can definitely move up to intermediate excercises, the reason you should wait about 3-5 weeks and stay on this routine is because you need to get situated with free weights and learn to balance them when doing certain routines and once it becomes a "natural-like" feel for the weight and the specific excercise then you can definitely get to more challenging workout routines.I hope i helped if you ever have questions just drop me a PM and i can definitely help you out.

are you getting enough fats & water? Until I added mayo and started really drinking water I just wanted to lay around. Try dipping veggies or some type of meat (chicken, beef, pork, etc) in mayonnaise a couple times during the day, or with your meals. You also need to drink at least 64oz of water everyday.

Hope you get to feeling better real soon!!

Mineral water has helped me cut out diet coke, when I stopped taking caffeine I had headaches, couldn't sleep (which is weird) but since I've starting drinking the mineral water I dont have any cravings for diet coke anymore! My energy level is back to normal as well. Hang in there!

thanks imagood1 and fresh! your advice and inputs are precious.
I do eat mayo with my salmon or minced chicken but I think my miltivitamins are not upto the requirement. Im changing to centrum and see if that will make a difference. I drink atleast 7 glass of water everyday and haven't cheated, i think my induction flu is taking a while to leave but i hope it will.

If you're going to bbq salmon, it tastes great if you coat it with mayo first! Actually, any fish I bbq I coat with mayo, it gives it a nice flavor, keeps the fish moist, helps the seasoning stick, helps the filet from sticking to the grill and adds the fat we need. Its a win/win/win/win situaton.

Most probably this has nothing to do with your vitamins. It takes a few days for your body to become efficient in burning fat for energy rather than sugar. Until the necessary enzymes are created, your energy levels might be a little low. In the meantime, butter and coconut oil will help. They both consist of medium-size fatty acid chains, which the body can metabolize quickly and efficiently into energy.

You should be drinking more water. Not sure how big those glasses are, but the minimum is eight 8-oz glasses of pure water per day. More might be needed, depending on your weight.
