  • Back on the wagon.

After trying atkins early last year I fell off the wagon but i'm back this year and started again mid march, but reached the point where I gave up last year. Weight fell off like usual in the first two weeks, then at the end of the third week nothing has been lost and got the bloaty heavy feeling back which is really annoying.

Here's a list of the things I eat. eggs, bacon, bratwurst german sausages (from lidl ) mayonnaise (lidl brand) pork chops, lettuce, celery, cucumber, tomatoes

spices are usually vinegar and ground black pepper

today i bought some minced pork to make my own burgers as i really love burgers with salad they seem to go so well. and also got some pork scratchings (rinds) and some cheese strings to nibble on.

the only thing i'm not 100% on are the sausages but working out all the numbers 4 of them still come to less that 1g of carbs and water, more or less 2 litres a day at least

How much weight do you have to lose? Maybe you should think about going into OWL, since normally that re-starts weight loss.

    Start date: 03/14/09
    Goal #1 - 260 - Met 04/12/09! Goal #4 - 230 - Met 08/03/09!

I'm not sure how much I need/want to lose I reckon it's around the 4st mark.

I changed my scales to lbs the other day and i seem to be hovering around the 242 mark, I want to break that 240 barrier to see the weight is still being lost then take it a bit at a time.

        Re: Back on the wagon.

        Hi
Welcome back to your ADBB family

Your food choices seem fine to me though the bratwurst might have a lot of sodium in them which does make some people retain water.

I usually make my own burgers too, as all the UK ones seem to have wheat/rusk/breadcrumbs in them

I eat them between two large raw mushrooms so that I don't miss the bun!!

As you know that the usual temporary stop in weightloss after the first 2 weeks is likely to derail you why not make an effort not to weigh for a couple of weeks after that and rely on measuring instead?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
