    From DANDR
On any weight loss program, the first weight lost is water weight. Atkins is a particularly effective diuretic, so the water weight tends to come off fast on my program. But be assured that after four to five days, the pounds that come off are primarily fat.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

The weight loss you see during the first two weeks is due to a depletion of your body's glycogen stores, where each molecule of glycogen is stored with 3-4 molecules of water.
