  • Coconut Question

I havent been able to find info about whether or not Coconut is okay for Induction. I have the book with me, but couldnt find info there about coconut and in the OWL section, it doesnt list it specifically. Maybe Im looking in the wrong sections of the book [????].

Anyone know if it's Induction friendly?

    Re: Coconut Question

Coconut is allowed once you reach the nuts/seeds rung of OWL, but not on induction.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

hi! I actually have the atkins cookbook, and it says coconut -milk- unsweetened is alright for phases 1-4, but of course as Elizellen said its not allowed to eat the actual coconut during induction

ohhhh... does this mean I can use coconut milk in induction.. as that would make a superb chicken curry

Not if you are following DANDR in my opinion.

Coconut milk is made from the flesh of coconuts and so is an OWL rung 3 addition.

1 cup of it has about 8 net carbs in it so a bit more than 1/2 cup would make a good 5 net carb addition then.
