I was happily going about my 14-day induction phase when on the third day I ate a delicious Vietnamese chili garlic pepper sate marinade steak. It was fabulous. I went home thinking I just nailed the third day in this long journey when, after viewing sate recipes, I noticed that a common recipe was 2 teaspoons of sugar to make 2 cups of the marinade. I was depressed. Although my steak only used maybe a quarter cup or so I am wondering if this means I screwed my induction phase and need to start over again. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance

Re: Sugar in sauce = Start all over again?
I buggered up my Induction too but I didnt start over - I just plowed through the mistake and kept on going. Im on day 10. I think the mess up may have buggered up my loss for the week, but that's okay. Ive read [on this site] that if you slip you may not be able to accurately ID your degree of metabolic resistance.

Just continue - that is the way to go. That is a minor thing and probably one of the many times you will discover "hidden" sugar on this journey.

scoozie, no, don't start induction over. There's really nothing to be gained by restarting after that one small mistake.
You learned a lesson... so time to move on.

Exactly! Just keep going. Pretend it never happened and avoid it next time.Originally posted by Sunny_0ne View Postscoozie, no, don't start induction over. There's really nothing to be gained by restarting after that one small mistake.
