  • Day 2...What to drink.

    Well I am on day 2 of induction and have been drinking 2 liters of water a day and some peppermint tea with 2 sweetener tablets before bed. I am getting a little tired of just water so I was wondering what else you can drink during induction.

    I was looking in my cabinet and found some sugar free grape cool-aid with 0.022 carbs per 100ml. Would this be okay to have once or twice a day?

    For what it is worth, I'd stay away from the fake sugary tasting foods and drinks during induction. Sugar cravings can be triggered in an instant and trying to break the sugar cravings is part of the beauty of a clean induction. Some of the fake sugar products can also cause stalls in weight loss. Play it safe.

        Yep, what they said!! Water, water, water! You'll lose more weight that way. It's just the way it works. I wouldn't compromise one thing during induction. Don't feed the sweet monster! It will compromise your weight loss if you do. I have always found on this WOE water alone and lots of it promotes the fastest weight loss.

            Yep. water and more water. plain water.

            You just started, you can add things later on, but this is
            your time to shine ! Imagine yourself at your goal weight,
            is it worth it to just drink plain water for now ?

              for the record, i ate 1 sugar free pudding cup on my birthday and for that day and the day before my water was very low and gained 2lbs. i upped my water back to normal, but i was up 3.8lbs the day after that. you're only on day 2, this is a looong hawl situation. do you want to risk having to waste an entire week to get rid of the weight sugar alcohols make you retain just to taste something sweet?
              trust us, it gets easier. i used to hate water, especially tap water. i -love- water now. i drink 1 cup of decaf in the morning, and innumerable bottles of water during the day(just refilled from the tap, amazing), and thats it. it makes you feel so much better, believe me, drink water. a LOT

                if you need a change from plain water (which IS best) you can put lemon or lime slices in your water for a light flavoring. You are breaking addictions the first 2 weeks of the plan so when you think you've had enough water ..... drink another glass! It's not bad once you get a few days behind you - and you will get to a place where you want more water.

                    It was actually day 3 not 2, and now day 4...Anyway,I am drinking a lot of water. 2 liters is about 8 tall glasses. Only after I finished that do I have warm herbal tea. But in this lovey weather I was just wondering, like the lime and lemon subjection. Which I will try, but once again only after I finish my 2 liters a day.

                    And don't worry I love water and could never get enough, just want to spice it up a little.
