  • It Works!!!

    Hello everyone, I've been here for awhile, but never really post. I read ALOT of the posts and everyone has been such a help to me!

    I have started and restarted about 51416465164 times, and finally did it 'by the book' about 2.5 weeks ago, and also added in exercise about 3-4 times a week. I am happy to report that as of this morning I have lost 13 pounds!!!! I just want people to know that CAN work, you just have to do it right and stick to it!

      Can you please describe a days meal to me? I was on it for 1 week and I was getting sick of eating eggs everyday and trying to come up with things to eat. Thanks

        F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )

          GDD- The first thing I did was cut out ALL pop, and all sugar-even splenda.

          Breakfast- 2 slices bacon (im sure it has nitrates and some amount of cornsyrup but doesnt seem to affect me)-I've found that on this diet u dont have to eat 'breakfast' foods for breakfast-this morning I had two slices of luncheon meat.

          Lunch- salad of spinach, w/small amount ranch or ceasar and some small form of meat

          Midday snack- pepperoni or celery

          Dinner- something from lindas website that includes the rest of my required veggies.

          I also am sure to drink at least 100 oz. of water, and water is the ONLY thing I drink. I am bad and have a cup of reg. coffee if im sluggish in the morning.
          And, I think what has helped most is exercise...even if its just a hour a day, it will make a difference. I have never been able to lose weight and this what my doc recommended to try for my PCOS....so far so good-im in love

            LuLu -- try these links for induction friendly foods.....there is no reason to only eat eggs, there is a huge variety of foods we eat.
