  • Stalled , heavy cream.

I was at the store the other day and decided to buy some decaf coffee.
And i started looking around for a heavy whipping cream to kind of simulate milk.

So what i have is heavy cream which i need to look up. Its zero carbs, but off the top of my head i cant remember if heavy cream is okay my intention was heavy whipping cream.
So anyways i gained back 2lbs and stalled two days.

Two cups of coffee with the heavy cream and 2 packets of a generic Splenda brand. The Splenda and the cream and decaf coffee where the only new things that have been introduced to my diet in the last two days.

Im going to have a the decaf with the splenda and see if im still stalled tomorrow if so , i will cut the splenda and extend a few more days of induction.

Heavy cream is the same thing as heavy whipping cream.

By the way, a "stall" or weight loss plateau is defined by Dr. Atkins as 4 consecutive weeks without the loss of pounds or inches.

People do say that... there are two different words, one for a small stall and one for the official stall (plateau)... however, people use the word stall for both...

How much heavy (whipping) cream are we allowed to have each day during induction??

Also, according to fitday, heavy cream does not have zero carbs... one ounce has .8 carbs... one cup has 6.6 carbs etc...

That's because people panic and they are wrong. A plateau, as defined is DANDR (page 182), requires "no weight loss or loss of inches for at least four weeks."

Heavy cream is limited to 2-3 tbsp per day. Another 3 oz are part of the Special Category Foods, but they may "slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks."

Also, according to fitday, heavy cream does not have zero carbs... one ounce has .8 carbs... one cup has 6.6 carbs etc...
That's right. Heavy cream does not have zero carbs. The manufacturer is allowed to write 0 on the label of any product that has a carbohydrate content of less than 1 g per serving.

            Re: Stalled , heavy cream.

O man i was pouring heavy cream in my coffee like i would pour a previous coffee sweetener.

That is probably why i noticed no weight loss over two days and 2lb gain.

            Thanks
            Take care
