The number of posts about the anxiety related to weight fluctuations is staggering. If it wasn't for the Weigh? No Way! challenge, I'd be an everyday-weigher. (I now weigh every Saturday AM).
Of course, there are a myriad reasons why people's weights fluctuate throughout the day, and a similar number of reasons why there might be a "wait and whoosh" result on the scale (ie. 208, 208, 208.5, 208, then 205).
Here's my theory: some of the cheaper digital scales out there are less sensitive than more expensive ones, therefore cannot detect 1-2 pound differences. Therefore, the moment it senses a three pound difference, whoosh! 208-205.
Any thoughts on that?
