If you don't drink enough water, you will become dehydrated and you "lose" weight. Is it possible to lose 3.8 pounds of water through dehydration? Yes it is. Is it healthy to be consistently dehydrated? No, it isn't.

Drinking water, eating food will temporarily cause a "weight gain". But we don't care about water weight (gain or loss). We are concerned with FAT loss.

once your body gets use to the daily water it will settle down and you won't have any problems. You sound dehydrated and your body is holding on to all the liquid it can get. Dr Atkins recommended you drink at least 64 ounces of pure water a day -- I have been drinking 150 ounces of water a day since January 5 and after the first few days I haven't had any problems.

Don't be afraid to drink water -- water is too important to your system and to your weight loss. Good luck

I weigh first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, after a long night of fasting. That way there's little to no chance of a drastic change due to water intake. Then I start my daily water indulging . Water is a good thing and your body needs it just like air, so don't deprive it based on the effect it may have on the scale, just weigh in at the right time and you'll be good to go.

Of course the water will show on the scale, but the water 1) keeps you healthy and 2) flushes the fat out of your system. Two cups of water weighs a pound so if you drink a liter you will be getting about 2 and a half pounds of water in you. And it will leave shortly afterward. That's why most folks weigh in the morning before they eat or drink anything.

BUT - If you drink your water, you will LOSE more FAT! So even if the scale bobs up and down, the fat is leaving your body. Also, cold cuts have a lot of salts in them. They will cause your body to hold onto the water. How do you get the body to get rid of it? Believe it or not, drink more water.
