    Hi,

    Well second day in the induction and I have forgotten to get my chicken out of the freezer

    So i have had 4 rashers of bacon this morning with no eggs as i have a stinking cold and dont even feel like eating.

    For lunch i am having 2 rashers of bacon with 150g of brocolli and 90g of savoy cabbage both steamed.

    For tea i will be out on a course so will take 2 cups of lettuce and cucumber (cause thats all i have in!!!) and will have also had my 3oz of cheese throughout the day and a 1/4 oz of double cream in my decaff coffee!!!!

    Thats all i can fit in for the day. Does that sound ok????? (oh and obviously i will be having my water!!!!!)

    I have been trying to work out my carbs but not doing too great!!!! even with a carb counter cause they do it in cups not measurements!!!!!!

    Be careful about the bacon. Most bacons are high in sodium, which may cause water retention.

    And try to get some protein and fat with every meal. Eating protein, fat and carbs together help to slow the digestion of the carbs, so that they won't have a great effect on your blood sugar. Keeping your blood sugar stable is one of the reasons why we lose weight on Atkins.

      protein and fat???? what things could you suggest as protein and fat together?

        Many things have protein and fat together like eggs, fattier meats, fattier fish. You can also add fat in the form of oil, mayo or butter if you like.

        Have you tried fitday? You can use grams with fitday. One of the reasons I like it.

            As liv and msangel suggested, there are foods that combine fat and protein.

            Or eat a meal that has fat, protein and carb. For example, baked fish with lemon butter and broccoli. The fish is the protein, the lemon butter is the fat and the broccoli is the carb. As opposed to eating a meal of primarily protein (a chicken leg and bacon) or primarily carb (a green salad with salad dressing).
