  • Mini goal....2nd day for me

    Hi all!
Well, this 2nd day has gone well, now I am holding on tight for tomorrow and Sunday!
I went and bought a scale, I weighed 235.5 on it so I changed my weight and I wont weigh again until day 15, is that right?
I have been reading alot of posts on here and the idea of a mini goal would be good for me I think. I just dont want to be unrealistic when setting my goal, I dont want to set myself up for disappointment. What I would like to set it at is 20lbs but I am not sure it is humanly possible. Any input??
Thanks in advance...I will set my goal by tonite!

A mini goal of 20lbs is fine but i wouldn't expect it by day 15. I would wait until after induction to see what your level of metabolic resistance is and then start setting goals. That way you can be reasonable and not disappointed. Good luck!

i usually just make mine 5-10 lbs that way i feel like i've done something. i would have a higher chance of being discouraged if i set my mini goal to 20 lbs.

I think that a mini-goal is a great idea, but personally I suggest not aiming for a particular amount at the end of your two week induction.
You're just starting, you don't know yet how fast or slow your metabolism is just yet. Of course if you lose more than your mini-goal, it'll be fantastic, but if you don't, it might feel discouraging and you won't be celebrating the loss you did have.

But by all means, set a mini-goal, and work towards it, and celebrate the heck out of it when you get there!

Or maybe set your first minigoal as sticking to a clean 14 days induction?
As Moochiecat said - you have no idea what is a 'normal' loss for you yet so don't set yourself up to fail with an unrealistic goal.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
