  • Day 7 and ill again

    Hi all,

Well im on day 7 of induction and am ill again. I have a nasty cold when i started induction and it went a few days ago but i have woken up feeling awful again.
To walk up the stairs is really hard and my legs ache.
I also have no energy throughout the day so exercise it totally out of the question!!!

Im always so weak, but then in the eve i come to life, have bags of energy and cant sleep!!!

Any ideas??? am i doing something wrong? I thought these symptoms would have gone by now?

its 14 day induction but some people take up too 3 weeks to get over the induction flu

but when your metabolism is fully changed to a fat burning metabolism you will feel great

remmber to drink extra extra water during induction and just extra water after that

also try and eat lots of fat like egg yolks and turkey thighs and keep your net carbs low 20

65% fat 30% protein 5% carbs these are the values you should aim for

when you are eating lots of fat and very low carbs your body will get over induction flu faster

    chicken eggs are 61% fat

if you have not been drinking alot of water then once you do you may gain a few pounds of water weight on your body for 3-9 days i think so dont worry your still loseing weight and the water weight will come off

I don't think what you are having is "Induction flu", rather a regular one. You said you had a cold when you started Induction... Did you see your doctor about it?

I hope you'll feel better soon.

I'm wondering if potassium deficiency is going on here. It tortures me if I don't take potassium supplements. I strongly recommend you google high potassium foods and focus on eating those that are legal. You have to be careful with the supplement form just in case that's not the problem. I have a heart problem and I've had to tread very carefully with potassium supplementation but when my levels are right, there's no more leg pain and I feel great! When your vitamins and supplements are all in balance, you'll feel great and it will assist you in your weight loss.

Are you taking vitamins and supplements? If so, what are you taking? I really believe in them. I've always been kind of a sick girl, would easily come down with something. It's been 4 1/2 months now, and nothing has really sidelined me other than an injury here or there.

that reminds me of a funny story one time i caught a cold and it wasnt going away so for some reason a stupid reason i ate a giant sandwich but the sandwich bread was giant very large bread so i whent way off the Atkins diet that day

well i ended up haveing that cold for an entire month... it keept staying in the back of my throat somehow i still to this day dont know if eating all that wheat that im intolerant too is what caused that cold to last so long

normally when i catch a cold i never break the Atkins diet and i beat it in just 2 days and other times take 5 days but never a month

but anyways ya your body is with drawing from carbs which it has been addicted to for like ever so its not nice being hit with that and a cold at the same time
