Lemon on induction? I never read that. I read absolutely no fruit whatsoever. I read lemon in the OWL part for water and whatnot.

Okay it says "lemon juice or lime juice: note that each contains 2.8g carbs per ounch; limit to two to three tablespoons" Not the same as a lemon so???????? ensive

have some boiled eggs instead - or if you look at the sticky at the top of this forum you'll see a list of acceptable foods during induction.

Lemon is not allowed during induction - period.

The book says otherwise though....which I thought would be a big no no as well. I quoted directly.

your right - just grabbed my book again

              lemon juice - 2-3 tablespoons

don't think that will be enough to satisfy a hunger craving though.

you want something filling, 2-3 tablespoons of juice wont do it. Eat some eggs, or have a mock danish, or fry up some bacon or some chicken.

spazzy: I totally get confused with the book sometimes.

In one part it's telling me to do oil and vinegar for dressing and then I turn the page and the sample meal says "garlic dressing" is okay. So I tend to get confused. ensive

there are more than one dressings available. I'm a big personal fan of ranch dressing - I just have to limit it to 2 tablespoons.

if you like oil & vinegar - go for it, or if you prefer garlic - go for it. This is actually a surprisingly flexible way of eating.

I think that means that if you are not sure what is in the dressings available the safest bet is just to have oil/vinegar when eating out.

If the garlic dressing doesnt have ingredients that are not allowed on induction it would be fine - but you do have to check labels or ask if in a restaurant.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

yhe food lists tell you what foods are okay period. you can combuen then in any way you want like fgg oil and vinegar to get mayo. yep good look mayo ain't on any acceptable foods lists but the ingredients are so if you want a dressing made from oil vinegar cream and herbs tyou can have it.

Back to the lemons lemon jucie in the amounts listed arer acceptable in the special catagory foods but they might stall you out so go easy on it until you see how your body handles the citruc acid,

                      Happy low carbing.

If you are craving sour, how about a dill pickle.
My daughter loved to eat lemon with salt also.
