  • Which Book?

    Hi could someone please show me a picture, or provide the link of the "RIGHT" book to read. There are so many. I haven't read it yet, but have been following the advice in the forums, printed out the food lists. I want to purchase the book.
    I have been on the diet for 2 months, and have lost 18 lbs. I am happy, I feel great, but I feel that the weight loss has slowed way down, I have another 60lbs to go, and I have fluctuated within 2lbs for the last 3 weeks. The first 10lbs came off the first week, so of course I was estatic. Now I am discouraged.
    Any advice?

    That one looks completely different from mine, and I found at least 1 other cover...I hate when they keep changing them!

      Hi Gayle,
      It is so important to read the book all the way through. You have to move up the rungs before you get close to your goal weight or you will not learn to eat the right way. Meaning, you will not learn how many carbs you can take in one day to still lose the weight.

      It sounds to me like you need to begin moving up the rungs. It is my experience that when you begin to add carbs back slowly and on plan, the weight starts to come off again...

      what the rungs mean to me:
      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)
