  • Day 7!!!

So I made it to day 7 yeah me!!! The first three days I just wanted to die from the headaches and I had no energy but I kept pushing forward and I made it! I am now confident that I can go on and continue. The weekends are the hardest for me cause the hubby is such and enabler but I safely made it through the weekend. Ohh yeah and I lost 7 pounds!!!! That is great for me cause I could never lose more than a pound in a week even with lots of exercise and a strict diet. I guess all it took was finding the right diet for me. I feel great now and starting today I am going to get back into working out. Last week I stopped my workouts because I had no energy to even clean my house(which is now clean lol). I had every excuse ready for why I would fail on this diet, I have four kids and no time I have sports and cooking and cleaning and FOUR kids ages 2,4,6,8 four of them, I have no time. So with those reasons for failing I gave myself one reason not to fail I told my self if I failed this diet that was the end for me and my @$$ would become the size of the goodyear blimp. With that in mind I pushed forward. While everyone else was easting pizza for dinner I had a chicken bacon salad when they had icecream I had a bottle of water. It was hard I wont deny it but with the image of a goodyear blimp hot on my tail I stayed focused. So one week and 7 pounds down and I am looking forward to the next week. I don't expect to lose 7 pounds again this week and I would be happy with just one or two pounds but hey if I can drop 7 pounds again I wont complain!!

    Re: Day 7!!!

Well done you for your weighloss im starting week 2 today and have lost 6lbs i think we are always making up excuses because we cant commit to something and always want a quick fix. Im trying to retrain my brain so that it doesnt keep thinking diet lose the weight and then go back to eating normally because ive tried that once and it doesnt work that. the only way we can beat this is if we realise this is for life.

well done for wanting to do more exercise, thats my problem im way too lazy lol. hope some of your energy and keenness rubs off onto me good luck and keep posting.

way to go Theresa -- you are living proof that if you want to do something you can - even with all the excuses lined up ready to use. As far as your husband being an enabler -- that's great - let him....but let him only enable himself not you. I live with my mother and husband who, along with myself, are all type 2 diabetic....they eat ice cream, all sorts of fruit, starches and I don't. It would be easy to eat this stuff along side them but I choose not to!

Focus, get up and dance as a form of exercise, walk around your living room 50 times, you'll be amazed at how many things you see while you're walking around that you normally don't see! Move the furniture into the middle of the room and walk around the perimeter of the room....I did than when the weather was too bad to get outside and walk. I literally know every inch of my home! LOL

I'm happy and proud for both of you!! Keep up the good work
