    How long should I do Induction?

    I have about 75 pounds to lose...I just started induction today....should I stay in induction longer than the 2 recommended weeks?

    Welcome to ADBB!

    You should determine your degree of metabolic resistance at the end of Induction and answer the four questions in Chapter 13 of "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution" (2002). Only then will you know what the best strategy is for you.

      From the book:

      In order to decide if this is the right time for you to move on, I suggest you answer the following four questions:

      1. Are you bored with Induction?
      2. How much weight do you have to lose?
      3. How metabolically resistant are you to weight loss?
      4. Are you willing to slow down the pace of weight loss in exchange for more food choices?

      What I do:
      Elliptical gym machine 1 hr Tue-Sun
      At 320, switch to cycling on my Trek 500
      2 filtered containers water/day
      Daily salads/veggies


      Goals:

      Stop needing High Blood Pressure meds - DONE!
      Workout in a XXXL shirt
      - DONE!
      Workout in a XXL shirt
      Workout in a XL shirt
      270 on the scales
