Hey, how am I supposed to count the carbs in bagged salad?? It says 4 carbs per serving on the bag, but don't I have to subtract fiber?? HELP..don't wanna eat 4 carb SALAD!!!
Does it say how large one serving is supposed to be?
and what other details are there on the nutrition panel?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
The label should say the serving size, number of carbs/serving and amount of fiber/serving.
For one serving, the net carbs are total carbs-fiber. So if the carbs are 4 per serving and the fiber is 1, the net carbs are 3.
Depending on the serving size, and what's in it, 3 carbs/serving is not bad.
Remember:
1) all of the ingredients in the salad & dressing have to be on the acceptable foods for induction list
2) half of your daily carbs should be from vegetables (veggie carbs=good )

I look at the number of servings on the bag and separate it into baggies. So if it says 4 servings, I put the salad into 4 bags... That way I don't go over the 2 cup limit...
