  • I can't believe it!

    This is only day 2 for me, and I have no appetite! Also, last night for shigs and giggles, I decided to pee on the Ketone sticks, and it showed a trace! Holy Carbs, Batman!

    Wow. That was a quick transition into ketosis for you. Good work.
    Even if you do not have an appetite - don't forget to eat something.

      Yeah, I got up late today..I'm a sleep a holic ...have breakfast at 11 am, and am now cooking lunch! Just now got hungry!!

          Thank you! I'm in shock still! I took another pee test, and it went from Trace to Light! I'm still having induction flu symptoms, but hopefully that will end soon!

              Laura. You have not had a chance to check out the book? Is it hard to get where you are? Here I can find it in used bookstores for very little or in the library. The book we use is the 2002 Dr.Atkins New Diet Revolution. (Called DANDR around here ) Ketosis is explained in there. When we cut down on carbs to a bare minimum and we eat plenty of fat the body shifts to ketosis (fat burning). It is how we can lose some of that excess weight we are carrying around without having to starve ourself.

                Laura - do you have any charity shops in your area?

                Most in my area have at least one copy of DANDR on their shelves for less than a pound.
                Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                  yes i do. my mother is going to a second hand book shop for me 2mz as im working and cant go. so hopefully they will have a copy. thanks
