    What is the easiest and most painless way to begin this diet plan? I have the boxed edition with all of the tools...I am just a little worried about beginning another diet..and possibly failing.

    Read the book...educate yourself as much as possible on the why's and wherefore's of Atkins. (at this board, we follow the 2002 version of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, and we advocate that people avoid 'frankenfoods' (bars shakes, etc) for at least the first two weeks of Induction)
    Read the sticky's in the different forums...chock full of very relevant information! :yes

    Clean your house out of all illegal foods...or if you have family that still eats them, make sure everything is tucked away where they can get it but isn't glaring you in the face.

    Stock up with legal foods and have something handy at all times so if you get a craving for sweets, you can turn to something that is allowed. Boiled eggs, cut up veggies with dip (ranch, blue cheese,...mmmm!), different cheeses...I like to make a huge batch of little meatballs...great for snacking!! Try and snack on protein/fat combos..it'll satisfy you quicker and sustain you longer.

    Follow the rules of Induction, eat from the Acceptable Foods list, plan ahead, hang in there through the first week when you go through withdrawal from sugars and caffiene and be patient.

    The two most important things are to educate yourself, and to always have legal food around to turn to.

    There's sure to be even more ideas from the others...all the best to you!!

      :wave all of the above and this one too never put anything in your mouth that you don't know the if the ingredients in it are acceptable for your phase of Atkins nor the carb count of.
