  • Can you be a vegge and still follow Atkins?

    Hi all
Just interested if it is possible to follow Atkins and not eat meat? Looks pretty hard but I'm sure I could give it a go. Whatdya think?

    Welcome to ADBB!

Do you eat fish or shellfish for e.g., or not even those? What about eggs or cheese?

There is a thread in the FAQ section of the Board explaining how Atkins should be done by vegetarians.

By the way, I should also add that while you may feel more restricted during the Induction phase (since you are not eating meat), Induction only lasts for two weeks. When you move to OWL, you will start adding more vegetables, diary, nuts, berries, legumes, fruits, starchy vegetables and grains to your diet, so not eating meat will no longer pose any issues.
