  • I unknowingly was eating LOTS of carbs

    This was my first week on Induction, I was down 10 pounds. Now I am only down 6lbs, which is still ok.

    I went to my Grandma's for Sunday Brunch and it was a potluck. There was a lot of different kinds of meats(Grill out) and broc and cauli dish. I asked what the broc and Cauli dish was made of and they told me mayo and some spices. With that in mind I was ok to eat it. Well I got home and Sunday night and all day yesterday I was having such a hard time I couldn't figure it out. Well then I thought about it and they must have also had other things in the broc cauli dish that triggered bad eating habits for me or there was sugar in the venison brats. So overnight I gained 4lbs back. I was being really hard on myself until I realized just to foget about it, lol.

    Long story short I am just mad I feel like I fell off track, but I am right back on again.

    The 4lbs is likely just water retension from the salty sausages. Drink lots of water & it will pass.

    Congrats on your good attitude - these things will happen. You tried to stay on plan, made the best choices you could have at the time - then realized later that you were having symptoms - and rather than binging, you stayed on plan!

      I was at a potluck too this weekend. And boy those things can be hard places to eat. (I ate before I got there because I knew I had to be careful) I did try some salad and realized that who ever make this salad had sprinkled it with some sugar. That was weird. So as you I probably ended up with too many carbs that day. But hey it is over with now.
