help!!!!!!!!!!! im 11 days down and only 5 lbs down, im strict as ive done this before and was losing like 7 lbs a week and now im not.....how can i get this going faster, please help, i lost 70 lbs before in like 3 to 4 months and nothing is moving, not even the inches, wendy

I was actually confused by the mad face that came with the title of your thread. Congrats for the 5 lbs gone forever! And if you don't think 5 lbs is a lot of weight, carry 5 lbs of water/flour a whole day or exercise with a 5 lbs backpack on your back, and you'll certainly appreciate them.
Don't compare your weight loss now with the weight loss you had whenever you did Atkins before. As Dr. Atkins wrote,
Send all complaints to Father Time, Box Office Eternity.
Finish Induction and at the end of the 14 days use the charts on page 158 of DANDR to determine your degree of metabolic resistance. Then re-read Chapters 12-13 to decide what you're gonna do next---continue Induction or move to OWL.
What are your stats? If you want, you can post a few menus (incl. quantities) in the "Review My Menu" forum and we can take a look over them.

shakes are no-no's on induction -- kool aid is out also....the 64 ounces of water you drink is good - but you should be drinking more if you want to loose the weight.
you won't loose the same as you did before, your body is different, your life is different, your metabolism is different. what "worked" before probably won't work this time. you need to go on the plan strickly and don't eat or drink things that aren't on the acceptable food list.
Try some recipes from these sites - make sure the recipes are induction friendly

Hey, Wendy - I just wanted to chime in and say that it has been my experience that just because you could eat/drink something before with no problem, doesn't mean you'll always be able to.
For example, when moving up the rungs, cottage cheese appeared to be fine for me. And then a couple of months later, it started turning on me... causing bloating and intense cravings.
One thing's for certain... you're never "finished" doing Atkins. It is a constant work in progress; an ongoing experiment.

koolaid a no no? hmmm im confused, i drink the koolaid i mix myself with either nothing or when i fix my glass, i use one packet of spenda, not the real sugar kind of koolaid.......and also the atkins shakes only have 1 carb,, but havent drank those in 5 days....im gonna stay strict on just pretty much meat and tity bits of the salad..and green acceptable veggies, it should start coming off, wendy

You are only allowed three sweeteners a day. "Frankenfood" like shakes and bars contain lots of sweeteners and if you add sweetener to the drinks throughout the day you are messing with your system a bit. It looks like you are stalling a bit because of them. I would cut this down (those shakes stall me - I use them for emergency only)
You need at least 64 oz of clean water a day.

Oh I was going to say that a lot of exercise challenges and the water challenge is about to start now June 1st. Maybe you should join up with something. Helps with motivation.

down 6 lbs........and feeling great, im wide awake after only 4 to 6 hours of sleep.......wasnt hungry this morning , ate tuna with mayo and SUGAR FREE CARB FREE RELISH for lunch, supper will be hamburger pattys with melted cheese, no veggies tonight, gonna jump start this considerin a drink a little liguer each each((((clear that is))) with diet sodas.....thanx everyone, in due time will be a life time change for good this hopfully, wendy, by the way where is everyone from,would love to meet someone round here to hang out with and excercise with.......byron georgia here

Wait, you're not having any veggies? Why not? You're supposed to get a total of 3 cups a day. Also, why are you having alcohol during your Induction? Do what you want, but it will definitely hinder your loss and you won't know your true metabolic resistance.

Kool-aid. You should check the label. Some unsweetened flavors contain maltodextrin, the same sugar you find in Splenda, so if you drink one serving of Kool-Aid with 1 packet of Splenda, it should be counted as 2 packets of sweetener. Other flavors contain modified corn starch, so you should not have them.
Shakes and bars. As Liv said, they are infamous for screwing up people's weight loss, either by stalling it or by slowing it down.
Veggies & alcohol. Your carbs should come from vegetables, not from alcohol, and you should "jump start this" by dropping alcohol and following the plan (which includes vegetables!), not by tweaking the plan to fit your drinking habits. And by the way, if you think you are compensating drinking alcohol by not eating vegetables, you are just fooling yourself. The carbohydrates in vegetables come with fiber, vitamins and minerals, and you remain in fat burning mode while eating them. On the other hand, when you drink, your body has to burn through all the alcohol before going back to burning fat, so you are putting a break on your weight loss. Also, if you are using ketostix to test for ketosis, they will change color because of the alcohol you drank, not because of excess acetoacetate spilled over into your urine.
Read or re-read the book ("Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution", 2002 ed., is what we use here), or at least the sticky threads on top of this forum. If you want to maximize your results, you will have to follow all the rules, not only those you like. No complaints otherwise.
