  • Induction Acceptable Foods

Good morning! I see mention sometimes of the 'acceptable foods list for induction'. I can't find it on this site though.
Does anyone have that link they could share?
    Thanks so much,
    Heather

Just a heads up. The atkins nutritional company (which is not quite the same as Atkins) has changed the allowed list. Here we follow the 2002 Atkins book which is the last one published when Atkins himself was around. Those rules are the one ms posted in her link. The company wants you to eat a lot of their products and they want you to enjoy sweets. Both of which often stall people.

Also consider getting the book: Dr.Atkins New Diet Revolution. This is a great source of what you should do and very good motivation.

        Good luck.

Didn't really think about that. Thanks for the headsup. I will be getting the book over the weekend.

hi and welcome Maggie -- it sounds like you are on your way to a heathier new you! Stick to the plan as its written, as Liv suggested, read the book - the more knowledge you have the easier your journey will go.

Drink plenty of water - 64 ounces of pure (nothing added) water daily minimum - start some form of exercise immediately, Dr. Atkins said it was mandatory - so NO excuses!! Eat only foods from the acceptable food list and make sure you are taking supplements described in the book.

There are a lot of new challenges starting on the 1st of the month - some are exercise challenges others are not - it's a great way to get involved, meet new friends and commit yourself to something healthy! Check them out.

If you need anything all you have to do is ask!
