Can anyone explain to me the difference in calculating net carbs vs carbs?

Net carbs = Total carbs - fiber

Fiber is not digested by the body, so those carbs don't count.

What does it mean if the Carb less the fibre is a negative number.

      Thanks

The info I gave was based on the US... are you in the UK? Check out this link: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-question.html

Mitzi is right - if the total carbs less the fibre carbs = minus something, it means the fibre carbs have been deducted from the total carbs already (or in the case of a non-USA label, fibre is not counted as being a carb in the first place )
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Hi Mazza, it confuses a lot of UK newbies. Just to confirm, the carb count listed on the labels in the UK is the net carb figure so no need to deduct anything from it
