  • Water Retention? HELP!!

    Hi all! It is my 7th day on Induction and I am down 2.4 pounds as of today. 2 days ago in the AM I was down 6.6 pounds! I have not cheated once and am doing everything by the book. I drink TONS of water and have hardly gone to the restroom at all in the past 2 days. I am due for TOM any day now. Could this be just a huge water retention period I'm going through? If so, am I still losing weight while actually holding the water, or when the water flushes out will I be where I was before? Any help would be great! Thanks for listening!

    It could be. I never weigh myself around TOM I know I retain water - I can tell just looking.
    Tons of water and not going to the bathroom is not great. What do you mean by tons?

      If you are in ketosis you are burning fat regardless of how much water you are retaining...

        I would honestly not weigh in until your 14th day. Your weight loss will fluctuate during Induction. Hope this helps!

            your body will get use to the water intake you are giving it within a few days. I agree to stay off the scales until the end of induction - there are too many variables daily that cause your weight to go up and down. Good luck to you!!
