  • Oh its been too long

    Well, Im back! How is everyone?? I hope you are all doing well or at least much better then me!

    I ended up having to make a trip back to NZ for a family emergency and have just returned now so am ready and DESPERATELY in need of shifting some of the weight I gained AGAIN in NZ. We have the worst diets ever out there!

    ANyways - Day 1 induction for me and have sopme pork chops for dinner. Anyone got any recipes for a mushrooms sauce I can add to it? We're having asparagus too as it is in season in the UK at present. DELICIOUS!!

    Welcome back

    My mushroom sauce is fairly simple - just cook sliced/chopped mushrooms with a little butter then add cream. I do a similar one for burgers or chicken using sliced red/yellow peppers or onions too

        Well - can I just say, it was THE most amazing sauce ever! I just chopped the mushrooms, sauteed it in butter added Double Cream and a tablespoon of Dijon Mustard and a dash of Malt Vinegar believe it or not! I then reduced it right down and added freshly cracked pepper and by the end OH was threatening to lick what was left off his plate Honestly cant take him anywhere!

          I love creamed mushrooms. I love to make some in beef drippings. It rocks.
