    Caffeine yes or no?

Hello, I have a question about caffeine consumption during Induction. According to DANDR, "excessive caffeine" is to be avoided, however, is one cup of coffee (or one shot of espresso) ok? Will consuming one cup of caffeine per day cause a stall in weight loss? I've been drinking decaf, though, some days, having a little caffeine can certainly be helpful for that extra energy boost. Thanks for all your help!!

Caffeine does not stall weight loss.

What it does is mess with blood sugar which can cause cravings for food which can cause you to eat more which can cause a stall

Every person is different... if you notice increased hunger after drinking caffeine then avoid it... if not, knock yourself out

I have one cup of coffee every morning. It hasn't hurt me at all. Of course everyone is different. Just depends upon how your body reacts to it. Coffee actually curbs my hunger.

I agree. I have one cup of coffee in the morning, and one in the afternoon. Now, I used to drink coffee all day long..I love it! So, 2 cups/day has been a big cut back for me. My issue is the splenda and cream..I have to watch that and be careful.

If I cut out coffee completely, it might make things easier for me but for now, I am happy with how its going.

Caffeine is a YMMV thing .. personally I feel better and definitely sleep better avoiding it all together!

There are more blood sugar instability symptoms than simply feeling hunger or cravings. Check the blood sugar symptom test in the book. I think if you have those symptoms while under the influence of caffeine, then it would be best to avoid the stuff.
